Rica's daughter, Lillian M. Roberts, DVM, is the director and owner of the Country Club Animal Clinic in Palm Desert, California. Dr. Roberts is also the author of the mystery series featuring veterinarian/amateur sleuth Andi Pauling, including Riding for a Fall, The Hand That Feeds You, and Almost Human.
In addition, Dr. Roberts has authored Emergency Vet, a non-fiction book brimming with stories about her years in an animal emergency clinic.
